This weatherstrip is also designed to eliminate the original metal trim (often known to cause rust) and comes with its own decorative plastic-chrome trim that will not rust.
The weatherstrip has a groove on it,
designed to accept the flexible plastic-chrome locking insert trim that it comes with.
Similar to what is found on earlier model Toyota trucks and cars (as pictured on the top right).
Cut the trim to fit, and butt fit in the corners.
